The Model Village

The Model Village is a wonderful miniature copy of the actual village of Bourton-on-the-Water. Built of Cotswold stone in 1937, it is the only grade II listed model village in the country! The attention to detail is incredible, with the river Windrush lowing under the famous bridges, music playing in the tiny model church, and miniature beech, cherry and chestnut trees lining the lanes. You’ll want to spend hours here wandering around the lanes peering into all the different buildings!

Cotswold Alpacas

For something a little bit different, why not head to Cotswold Alpacas and get up close to these beautiful creatures. If you are feeling adventurous, enjoy a gentle walk around the beautiful grounds with your own alpaca at your side, taking in the scenic views of the rolling Cotswold hills around you. Or, if the weather takes a turn for the worse, take part in an alpaca Meet and Greet in the barn, where you will get a chance to say hello to the resident young alpacas and hear about the art of alpaca wool spinning. This is sure to be an experience the family will never forget!
